Nice guy trying hard.   The restaurant is clean and cheap.   Cuisine would benefit from less cheese dip, but glad to have it open and friendly last night.

Let me add some more.    One of the reviewers complained about no beer and lame service but has been back four times.

The food is ok, and it's cheap.   I think a good place in terms of value for money.   It's in a modest community.   I saw a party split a tab five ways, and walked out myself with dinner for two for 24 bucks including a 20 percent tip

It was not the best mex I've had, but nice people.   So give him a break buddy, or just see if you can find something better in a very small town!!

Excellent menu and everything tasted great. The service was fast and the food came out piping hot. It's a great little place in an out of the way town.

Lame food and almost non-existent service.
I've been here 4 times.  The first was when they opened about a year ago.  Food was mediocre.  Service awful.  The waiter couldn't speak a word of English and just asking for sugar for my coffee was impossible.
I chalked it up to the fact that they were new and needed a little time to work out the kinks.
Over the past year I have tried them out three more times.  Each time it has been worse.
You have to hope they get your order right when they first bring it out as you are not likely to see your waiter again until you get up to pay.

We discovered this to be almost the only restaurant open for dinner in the small town of Tellico Plains. The food was less than mediocre with stale taco shells served for taco special. We pointed this out and the server looked blank faced and said "oh, sorry about that". We opened the menu to order a cold beer, from the beer listing inside the menu, only to be told they don't actually serve any alcohol because of the church across the street. Really?! All together , the service and meal were disappointing. We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We hope Tellico Plains wakes up and adds some other places for tourists who are renting cabins nearby to come into town and enjoy an evening meal.
